The Twins' 2nd Birthday

Colin and Claire turned two this year, but I can't tell if it happened fast or slowly. They have wanted to be two since the second they turned one... but the three of them at this age are so easily able to find stuff in common to do... mostly ... water fights. But it's just water.

We celebrated their birthday the day before, because Shannon and I went out of town in the afternoon of their actual birthday for a getaway. So they got to stay with Mamie and Grandpa on their actual birthday and for 3 days after!

But on this day, they each got their own cake, got a present each and shared one big one, and then played with their new water table and jumped on the trampoline. Then that evening, we played an exciting game of Red Light/Green Light, which I'll show pictures of in the next entry.

He refused to blow out the candles after touching the last one at his birthday party a few weeks earlier.

So he gladly let Adam help.

 

She had no problem blowing out hers.

She didn't even wait until we were done singing "Happy Birthday to Claire."

Claire got a toy vacuum (the boys use it more) and Colin got a toy leaf blower that blows bubbles.

They opened their new water table and these two were silly some more.

And then the water fight began...

there's nothing like bouncing/sliding on a wet trampoline.
