Teeth Marks and Smiles

This week Adam was bitten twice at daycare. When we talked to the teacher about the first bite she said that she had no idea that he was bitten. I am not incredibly surprised by that - he might not have complained. The next day when I picked him up he had another bite on the same arm, same spot -- same teeth marks. This time they told me it was because Adam had a toy and another kid wanted it. Biting is common - I would hate to say "normal" - but it's still frustrating. Since Tuesday, though, we haven't had any more trouble. I just hate that he's been bitten at daycare 4 times in the last 4 months.

Adam got another sinus infection this week, but it's not nearly as bad as ones he's had in the past. Or maybe we are just becoming pros at nose suctioning, humidifer treatments, and antibiotic dosages. We also talked to our pediatrician about the break outs on his face - they have gotten worse since summer started, and apparently we need to start using the extra expensive lotion on his super sensitive skin.

Adam has a new tooth s l o w l y making it's appearance. His first top tooth. It's been fighting with him for a few days now. I'm actually pretty sad about it. I love his toothless grin, even though he's about 6 teeth behind other kids his age and still only has the two bottom ones.

Other than that, nothing special to report. Adam is still a mimic extraordinaire. His personality is so energetic and bubbly - and onery - and he is a natural comedian.

Adam wearing eating his dinner. Tuna Helper is a new favorite!

Being extremely silly. This is the face he usually makes when you give him broccoli or french fries.

Adam's favorite "secret spot" is the tunnel behind the couch and the little corner behind the recliner.

Every night before bed Adam reads a book. Here is Shannon reading him his favorite - Are You My Mother?
We got Adam a booster seat so we can transition him to the table. He's thrilled with it and is completely ready to say goodbye to his high chair. He's doing very well with the plate, too -- as long as it has something he wants to eat on it. If he doesn't like the food (like the potstickers he tried last night), it may just get dumped on the floor (after inhaling every last green bean first, of course).

Licking the plate clean.
Overall it was a good week. Lots of smiles.

I can't believe he is already big enough for a plate and sitting at the table! Bailey STILL does not have a single tooth~ and there is not tooth in sight!
