After Cibolo, we drove up to see Shannon's best friend Jason and his family in Hutto, TX. We did more swimming, ate good food, and just hung out in general. It was tons of fun, but Adam's vacation patience was starting to run out (new bed every night, new table, new food... he still had a blast, but his attitude started to get more and more cranky as the weekend went on).

He was a little confused about the concept of a kids table, I think. |

Adam really enjoyed playing with Dalton. |

Dalton was playing that game where you ask "what's on your shirt?" and when they look you run your finger up their nose. Adam loved it. There is video as well (future post). |

Dad, this is fun! |

Telling me something important. |
For the 4th of July we lounged, we went to the pool, and we ate Jason's delicious smorgasbord of an Independence Day feast. Adam got a balloon in lieu of fireworks this year (they start so late and I worried about his patience level, even though I think it would have been a ton of fun). The balloon was a hit and made me happy because I got some adorable pictures.

Lately his favorite place is mom's lap. |
We left at about 7:30 that night, after Adam's second nap of the day, and drove home. We had a great time on our mini family vacation, but it's always so nice to be home in your own bed. I know Adam was happy . . . he was jumping for joy and thrilled all day Tuesday to be back in his own home.
