Adam is 6!

This guy.

This insatiable learner, this kindergarten philosopher, this eternal caretaker of other people's feelings, best big brother, best son, can't have enough friends, most unique little kid in the entire world.... This thirst-for-life-can't-stop-moving-smarter-than-all-hell-little-boy... IS SIX.

And he had no idea what big-kid things lie in store for him on the first weekend he is six. And all he asked for was a $10 calendar for his birthday.

I may be trying to "raise him right", but from the moment he was born, he taught me how to LIVE.

Adam's main interests are:
* Playing Pretend
* Theater
* Being an Actor/Model
* Golf
* Baseball
* Being the BEST helper ever.

For his birthday, my parents bought us ticket to see Wicked at the Dallas Summer Musicals. He LOVED it and was instantly obsessed with all things Wicked.

He also got to go golfing all day with Shannon and get a special birthday lunch at BJ's Brewhouse.

This summer he is very very busy. We took the kids to the beach for the first time ever and stayed in a condo in Port Aransas. Adam did a few days of sewing camp, went on vacation with us, and then has a busy schedule of camps:

* Theater Camp
* Golf Camp
* Gymnastics Camp
* Photography/Digital Art Camp
* Art/Sculpting Camp
* Soccer Camp
*(Maybe another Golf Camp)

I just can't say enough good things about this kid. Next fall he is going to start his first year at public school in first grade, and easily scored high enough to be admitted to their gifted and talented program. He is reading at a third grade level (just is barely scraping the surface of being interested in reading chapter books. His favorite topics to read about or watch are scary/creepy.... ghosts, vampires, haunted and magic. But not zombies. Definitely not zombies. (He gets that from his mom).

He says next year he's going to up his number of friends from 2 million to 17 trillion billion. He wants to perfect his swimming techniques in lessons, play soccer, golf on the weekends in addition to auditioning for commercials and TV. The kid is a motivated powerhouse, and I just adore him to pieces.
