Memorial Day Family Hike

I'm going out of order here, but the photos from my phone are usually the last ones I get to so I wanted to post these quickly.

Today we took the kids on a 3 mile hike and tried to get out there before the thunderstorms hit. We made it and got home later just in time for the rain. It has been an awesome Spring full of much-needed rain, so we just have to be quick and sneaky about getting a lot of outdoor time in.

We ended up going about 3.5 miles, and the kids were awesome about it.

If you'll look on the ledge under Adam's feet, there's a large tarantula. We didn't see it until later. Luckily it never moved.

You can see it there near Shannon's thigh.

They are checking it out.

They made friends with so many people and their dogs.

"Hey Claire, take a sweet picture with me near these flowers...."

After the hike we went to Applebee's for lunch. Colin had mozzarella sticks for the first time. The verdict= Mozzarella sticks are HEAVEN.

Want a fry, Daddy?

SHARING.

The look of a girl who took a 3.5 mile hike and then tried French Fries dipped in Ranch for the first time. WORTH IT.
