Pictures from our water balloon fight on Cinco de Mayo, or the real holiday on May 5, Adam's birthday...
Adam found the balloons early and immediately treated them like his babies. He said we shouldn't pop them.
It was chilly overnight while the tub of balloons sat in the garage, so they were cold, and the perfect sensory experience. Adam stroked them and kissed them and rubbed them on his cheek. |
Claire and Colin had been feeling pretty good, but at about this time on Sunday Claire was starting to feel pretty miserable again. They had their swimsuits on, but they weren't in the line of fire and didn't get wet (to Colin's dismay).
Uncle Chris was the target... Grandpa was also in the line of fire.
He soon warmed up to the idea of throwing the balloons at Chris, once Robin showed him what to do. |
Colin is picking out a balloon to throw.
In general we just had a good time...
Someone threw a balloon in my direction, and Adam yelled, "I'll save you Mama!" and ran to get another balloon to throw. |
This was his favorite way to make them explode. |
I think Daddy is giving him a hard time. |
He took a break for a cupcake after we sang happy birthday. |
She started to feel a little better... |
Once the balloons were gone, Adam insisted that everyone got a chance to spin him.
And that Robin play airplanes with him.
After everyone left, he got his pajamas on, and fell asleep on the couch. |
